Valli - the beloved consort of the god Muruga
Lord Muruga Valliyoor wine immediately after the marriage with Valli. The references are indicated in the Kandapuran. Valli was at once in love with the Lord Muruga that she has refused to authorize Deivanai in your domain. Deivanai was almost in tears, only sage Agastya was Deivanai that comfort and took to Valli and Deivanai was explained to him that must be treated as his sister. As this place belonged to Valli who seems to have had a dominant character, it is not surprising that women born in Valliyoor are said be very demanding wives after their marriage. They are also very sensitive. Not surprising, because it seems to me Lord Muruga simply pampered Valli.
The legend wants that Indra adored and legendary Agastyar Subramanyar here. Legend also has it that the tank Saravanapoikai Murugan was created when I hit the tongue to the floor, to be requested by his wife. The advantages of visiting Valliyoor person has never seen its pains of Valliyoor Murugan temple. Couples without children have visited Valliyoor, gold and come and present their tributes to their desire was filled by the Lord Muruga. Valliyoor Murugan looks at you and says: - "Yamirukka Bhayamen" ( why fear when I am here) and which summarizes the power of this shrine, which is located between picturesque Mahendragiri hills. Lord Muruga is someone who goes to his rescue always to remember him. Then, what are you waiting for?
